Middlesound Mandatory Sewer Connection Workshops
In August of this year, the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) will send notice to homeowners in the Middle Sound Community informing them that if they have not yet connected to the collection (sewer) system that they will soon need to do so. It is anticipated that over 600 customers will be disconnecting from septic systems and connecting to CFPUA sewer during this process. This project will provide direct benefits to the environment and water quality, and will address long standing road repair needs.
In an effort to highlight project specifics and important deadlines, CFPUA will be holding two Workshops.
The first is a ‘Plumbers Workshop’ to be held on June 16th from 9am to 11am at the CFPUA Administration Building, 235 Government Center Drive (please see attached flyer). This workshop is being held for plumbers to provide them with the necessary information about the project and the connection process.
Around the same time as this Plumbers Workshop, initial information about the connection process will be sent to homeowners with official notice to start the connection process sent in August. To help them with the process and to answer any questions that may arise, a community workshop will be held for homeowners at Ogden Elementary School, 3637 Middle Sound Road on July 30th from 6 to 8 pm. This meeting will provide the Middle Sound community members additional information about the project and its benefits.
