I wonder if they make you sign a profession of faith to buy a cup of coffee at the MEGA-CHURCH stand? Kids who attend social events there actually really are made to sign a profession of faith. Why does that conjure up images of Galileo kneeling before Pope Urban VIII? But I suppose the big take-home message may be that even Jesus can't save the coffee shop when the economy tanks. Or perhaps JC has another plan for that fine commercial space. You never can know about these mysteries. Really. The Racine location wasn't open on Sundays, but the other one was. You're right, though: I'll miss that combination of open space and good coffee (and good sandwiches and pastries). Pure hearsay, but I do feel I saw a lot of gold gilt and red letter there.
