2009 River to Sea Bike Ride – Saturday May 2nd
From the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Bicycle and Advisory Committee:
Join us for a 20 mile casual-paced bicycle ride to Wrightsville
Beach Park and back using Wilmington’s “River to Sea” Route
(Bike Route 1). All riders are welcome and refreshments will be
provided at the halfway point in Wrightsville Beach Park.
All participants are required to wear helmets and to observe rules
of the road. Skilled bicycle mechanics will be on hand for
equipment safety checks.

Well, that couldn’t have been more pleasant. Great turnout, good weather (with some cooling rain).
Jonas and I rode from the half way mark out to the longboard contest going on today at the L-Shaped Lot. Saw lots of folks — Our buddy Matt advanced in his classic log heat!
