19 days of training left for annual running race in Carolina Beach set for March 14
I signed up for the The 5th Annual Steve Haydu St. Patrick’s Day Lotide Run 2009, which I’m told is one of the best organized races in the area — fun, competitive, and for a good cause. The course winds through Carolina Beach, around the lake, and ends with a short jog on the beach. There are currently 306 runners registered, according to the website (www.lotiderun.org)

I think this is the first 5K I’ve wimped out on. Woke up to misty, chilly weather and placed my head back on the pillow.
I heard from a CB local that the turnout was very good.
