Oh No, It’s Florida 2000 Again!

New York Times: Tens of thousands of voters in at least six swing states have been removed from rolls or blocked from registering

This is a big deal folks. Just one day before the voter registration deadline here in New Hanover County, we are hit with this chilling news. About our state! Tens of thousands of voters are being illegally removed or blocked from rolls by election officials who are “improperly using Social Security data to verify registration applications for new voters.” It is illegal to remove voters’ names from the rolls within 90 days of a federal election except when voters die, notify the authorities that they have moved out of state, or have been declared unfit to vote.

The “accidental” removal of these voters can not be traced back to a particular party, says the story, but the “trimming” is most prevalent in the swing states—North Carolina, Nevada,Ohio, Michigan, Indiana. Smells fishy to me.

Here’s what we can do:

Check to make sure you, your family, friends, anybody you know is still registered to vote. If you are wrongly turned away at the polls INSIST on filling out a provisional ballot. Make sure your vote is cast.

Here’s more: An article by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on continued GOP efforts to defraud voters, with ACORN as a useful red herring:
