Dear Clarendon Neighbor (A real letter to neighbor Obama supporters)
“Have you really considered why you are so fixated on Obama?” A friend of my sister’s received this letter in her mailbox. Incredible!

At least this was good to see:

wow. wow. and wow. what an insane spin! complete with transparencies around their own racist perceptions that they assume others have! Such a convoluted expression of racism (masquerading as anti-racism), obviously a desperate attempt to win back some white folks for the McCain campaign.
this spin is as crazy as all the news sources that insist on referring to Palin as FEMINIST, and any discourse not approving of her policy record as sexist.
i’m glad that the IHR made that disclaimer.
I know! On the way to the Obama thing last night, we were saying this is like reverse double racism, where the reverse racism imputed to the receiver of the letter actually reveals the reverse-reverse racism of the sender.
It’s twisted!
Plus the tone, the furtiveness of it: “A friend has recommended”, “a problem that you may be having”, the no-return-address envelope and illegible “signature” (not shown here). It’s got something of that Al-anon religiosity to it as well.
