I know you play music, but what do you WEAR?

Anyone catch the major Puff Piece on Tift Merritt in today’s S-N? A Q&A written in the first person, it features lots of exclamation points as if it was written by a 13-year-old girl (and maybe it was), plus riveting questions like:

“Are you someone who uses the same purse all the time or are you always switching them out?” This is followed by “Describe your favorite purse” and “How did you decide what to wear on Leno and Letterman?”

Tift, Tift — you deserve better than this. Exclamation Point!

Did you guys go last night, R?
I love the idea of shows like that at the amphitheater. I’m no huge fan of Tift Merritt’s, but those Star News photos of the concert online are just great looking, and the quote from her is nice and forthright: “Thank you very much for coming. I didn’t realize that all of you would come, and I’m really glad you did.”
