Indo Jax Surf School

A friend of mine, Jack Viorel, has opened up a new surf school in the area, Indo Jax Surf School, that emphasizes giving back to the community. Indo Jax provides surf lessons and outreach to medically fragile inner city kids, breast cancer survivors, and others, gratis. Of course it also provides paid-for surf instruction for groups and individuals. I can attest that Jack is a well-travelled, serious surfer and waterman, and a teacher by nature.

It sounds like the good vibes are already paying off, too. Jack says his company has got the contract to do instructions for Carolina Beach Parks and Rec, which is huge, and in exchange is going to set up right at the boardwalk down there. May be a case of watching out when you get what you ask for.

Our friend Richard Perry over at local web shop Akira Media Designs has done a nice-looking website for Indo Jax, where you can read more.
