    Ian, I don’t understand what this is. You had some search terms some time back that were pretty interesting, but none of these issues have been discussed on here that I can recall. What’s the connection to these particular news articles? And does it really merit prominent placement on your front page? Just asking …. ;-}

    Susan - As an editor, you can see the things people search the Grove Project for — or the things they search Google for that get them to the Grove Project. Occasionally I see rashes of terms, as I did with the “silver alert” last week, also with the helicopter crash. Often, these are bits of breaking news that people have just begun to search for but haven’t found any definitive news about. It’s like a set of rumors, almost.

    The Grove Project is “found” in these cases because we publish the Wilmington News Wire, which aggregates information from the area. That content from other sources gets indexed here by search engines. The “story” of these search hits is not news in that sense, I agree, but it’ll fall off the front page soon enough, and in the mean time, it actually directs interested surfers to the real source of these news items.
