I hated living in Colorado Springs because of the snow, and escaped at precisely the same time the religious right, in the form of Focus on the Family et al, was arriving. It's far more hideous there these days, with the huge concentration of those places and people there. I really hate thinking they are here in a concentrated form as well. I wonder if this is the church someone told me about recently, actually said that to get anywhere in Wilmington you had to be a member. I know that's an exaggeration (because some of Old Wilmington is still in charge of a lot of stuff these folks couldn't begin to touch!), but this is precisely the kind of thing they stand for and would attempt to do, I'm afraid.
