Bistro Blonde reviews local restaurants
WWAY site blogger Bistro Blonde reviews local restaurants, has a recent one about Cosmo’s Italian.
About Bistro Blonde:
As a self proclaimed “eater”, (please, please spare me the word foodie!) I shall earnestly endeavor to keep everyone updated on new eateries opening and old faves changing their menus. No food or beverage shop will be safe! Well, ok, definitely big chain restaurants. I simply refuse to go. While everyone has their own likes and dislikes, salt no salt, etc, sometimes you want to know price AND atmosphere or maybe the secret code word to get THE waiter or to get the chef to cook off menu, just for you. That’s where I come in! Unlike other “food critics” in this town, I do not have to try to sell ads with my comments and therefore am free to report honestly. oh and yes, I know all the food purveyors so if a restaurant’s food or wine is ridiculously expensive — I’ll let you know. The visits will be anonymous and the next day I will call and contact the chef to get his or her story. I look forward to your comments and to sharing my favorite restaurants, diners, coffee shops and bakeries with you. We have a lot of local talent so there will be a lot to DIGEST! Ha!
Just saw that there’s also a glowing review on Bistro Blonde’s site about Antonia’s restaurant Laterna:

There was a really nice article about Laterna in last Wednesday’s paper which included some omelette recipes.

I avoid College at (almost) all cost. But I am going to have to come try your place.
Have you ever eaten at the Amphora in Vienna, Va.? It gets mixed reviews but whenever the whole family is together, we always go there and cram into the big round booth and have a fabulous time with good Greek food and generally good breakfast stuff.
