Great Bargain Wine from Tidal Creek

Yesterday at Tidal Creek, grocery manager Craig Harris peered into my basket and spotted the bottle of 2005 Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa I was buying then suggested I try a Cabernet from Washington State with a price tag of $6.99 ( half the cost of the Excelsior). I am delighted to report that Washington State’s Pine & Post 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is delicious and will be served throughout the holidays in my home. Thanks Craig!

Yeah, that P&P was yummy. I think the Excelsior was overpriced. Tasted like soda pop.

Also sampled the P&P and liked it. Tidal Creek’s customer appreciation day is Dec. 8th, so members can get an even bigger discount that day. Also, Craig told me P&P will be further discounted closer to Xmas, and he has plenty to go around. A good, inexpensive choice to stock up for the holidays.
