Sex is a great topic that should almost never be taboo. Respect individuals' right to punt on uncomfortable issues. After all, mystery is also valuable and tells us as much about others as do their unedited truths. Perhaps togas and acanthus leaves would be the appropriate attire for next wine club. Is this a trick question?

1. I think it is possible to 'comfortably roam discomforting shores' as long as all involved are doing so with sincerity and sensitivity. I remember when I was working for Down There Press we discussed so-called taboo topics on a daily basis but within that community not much was 'taboo'. Our business was to create books that promoted a healthy, respectful and safe attitude about sexuality. We tried very hard not to exclude any ideas of what sexuality means to various individuals so we obviously pushed the societal envelope on not a rare occasion. But I digress...

The point I'm trying to make is that the intention of the group is what really matters. Are discomforting topics being broached with a little elbow nudge and a wink or are delicate matters being discussed with care and sensitivity toward all involved.

2. I think the girl's special underwear was a response to the guy's uh, well, 'show' from the last time we were at the Lake Shore residence.
